FABRICS

We work with fabrics that look amazing, feel great and are excellent choices for the planet. Why? Because up to 2/3 of the sustainability impact of clothing happens at the raw materials (a.k.a. fabrics) stage. Making good choices about the fabrics we use determines how you'll care for your garment, and the impact of its whole lifecycle.

RECYCLED NYLON | ACTIVEWEAR

In alignment with our commitment to sustainability, our adventure performance fabric stands as a formidable material crafted by Maxland Sportswear in Taiwan.

Comprised of 75% Global Recycled Standard certified recycled nylon and 25% spandex, this fabric showcases our dedication to environmental responsibility. Recycled nylon, a key component of this fabric, is crafted from post-consumer and pre-consumer nylon waste, including discarded fishing nets, fabric scraps, and industrial plastics. Through innovative recycling processes, these materials are transformed into high-quality nylon fibers, reducing waste in landfills and oceans. With a luxurious peached finish on one side, our fabric offers a remarkably soft hand feel, enhancing comfort during wear.

Moreover, the fabric doesn't just look good—it's got your back against those sneaky sunbeams with built-in 50+ UVA protection, giving you peace of mind under the sunny skies!

RECYCLED NYLON | PERFORMANCE

Our Recycled Twill nylon fabric features built-in stretch and PFC-free durable water resistance. Crafted from a sophisticated blend of 86% recycled nylon and 14% recycled spandex, this fabric is meticulously sourced through our partner, Maxland Sportswear's mill in Taiwan.

When it comes to sustainability, we're committed to making a difference. Our recycled nylon is meticulously crafted from both post-consumer and pre-consumer nylon waste, encompassing materials such as fishing nets, fabric scraps, and industrial plastic. By repurposing these materials, we play our part in mitigating waste in landfills and oceans. Additionally, our recycled spandex is derived from a blend of pre and post-consumer waste, e.g. extracted from garments, decontaminated, and transformed into new yarn. This process ensures durability and longevity, contributing to a more sustainable fashion industry.

MODAL | OPEN AIR PANTS

You'll exclusively find our twill modal blend fabric in one product: our best-selling open air pants. This fabric consists of 94% Modal and 6% spandex. Modal fiber, derived from regenerative beech tree cellulose, is a sustainable alternative to cotton, requiring significantly less water—up to 10-20 times less—during growing, along with less land resources. Known for its exceptional softness, modal provides a silky handfeel that surpasses cotton.

Additionally, modal offers thermal regulation suitable for various weather conditions, along with breathability and resistance to pilling. With excellent dye retention properties to reduce fading over time compared to other fabrics, modal is also biodegradable, making it an eco-friendly choice. In short, it's the ideal fabric for all your adventures.
